I apologize for the lack of updates to this blog during the month of July.  I have been spending time with the kids and working on this pesky teaching assignment and dissertation all the rest of the time.  I promise that I will post a update from the past month and will get back on track with blogging updates very soon.  Check back in a few days.

Last year on the 4th of July, Luke was colicky and crying.  This year, he was sick and miserable.  The night before he woke up in the middle of the night with a fever and threw up all over.  He finally felt good enough to go back to bed and slept the rest of the night but woke up the next morning with the fever.  He had the same fever in the 100-101 range all day.  He could not go to the fireworks like Brooke and Daddy, so he stayed home and watched the fireworks from DC with Mommy.  He sat in my lap in the glider feeling miserable, but the sweet boy he is, Luke would sit up a little and clap every time the audience started clapping on the tv.  Luke still had a fever on the 5th, but he was starting to feel better.  Today he was finally better and playing and eating like usual.
